A Little About Our Team

Our experienced and expert nursery team consists of: Nursery Manager, Deputy Managers, Room Leaders, Nursery Practitioners, Apprentices, Nursery Chef, Admin Team, and Housekeeping Team. All our lovely staff team hold a current paediatric first aid certificate, relevant DBS and several of our practitioners are educated in specialist training programmes and specifically trained in: Early Reading (supporting our team as our reading champions), Physical Activity and Nutrition Co-Ordinator (PANCO) (supporting our team with ideas for healthy lifestyles, physical activity, and sensory circuits). At a Cressington Manor nursery we place a high emphasis on staff training and development, as we believe that our most valuable resource is our staff team! We support the continuous professional development of our staff through extensive training programmes: robust induction processes, in-house training, external training sessions with the local authority, bespoke training programmes specially commissioned from international consultants and guest speakers to meet the needs and interests of our team. Our staff are committed to early years and love working with the children and their families. They are passionate about the role they can play in supporting children’s care and learning to enable them to feel happy, safe, and secure and achieve the very best that they can in their development and learning. We work very closely with our team and have high standards and expectations for all. Our nursery team are an integral part of the nursery values and contribute to the success of the nursery. As we firmly believe it is essential that our team have a voice, and that their thoughts and opinions are highly valued. We work on the premise that ‘no question is a silly question’ and that we are all very much a team who are here to work with, support and learn from each other.  Staff supervision, ongoing suitability, peer observations and reviews are on-going to ensure that we maintain a clear focus on standards and that every member of our team are developed, and strengths supported, so we can provide the best care and education possible.
